A Sunday in Bloomington

Bloomington, Indiana, September 4, 2011: We were up and on the road to Bloomington for brunch with Rita and Rita's Bill (who is teaching at IU this semester) and a visit to the 35th annual Fourth Street Festival, a juried arts and crafts street show which has grown from a local to a national show.































































It's always better when the artisan is working rather than making the hard sale.




































THE CASE OF THE PARANOID PHOTOGRAPHER: he can look but not be seen, he can take your photograph but you can't take his.































At one intersection there was music. This group, Sara's Swing Set, was much better than a lot of festival acts:
At another intersection there were readings by writers with big egos. This Poetry on Demand gimmick, however, seemed promising.
