July 18, 2011: Compare the Kansas City skyline in the film noir classic
Kansas City Confidential (1952) with the contemporary skyline almost 60 years later:


The
film begins in Kansas City with a bank robbery, but plays out in a Mexican seaside fishing resort. We suspect it was filmed entirely in Hollywood. One can see the Santa Monica Mountains (
upper right hand corner) as a vehicle leaves the robbery scene in "Kansas City:"
