Orange County Holiday

San Clemente, CA, May 16-18, 2012:  The palm trees let you know you are in California.

The San Clemente Pier juts almost 1/4 mile into the Pacific Ocean.  Some Amtrak trains stop at the foot of the pier.   Visitors walk, fish, eat, drink, swim, surf, people watch and have a grand time.

This ain't Bal'mer, Hon.

The good news for tourists and residents alike is that the morning gray usual gives way to brilliant afternoon sunshine.

Like the swallows returning to the San Juan mission,  we return to Roger's Gardens.
